Boogie Wipes review and GIVEAWAY!!!!

I love the fall and winter months! Every thing turns a beautiful color, we spend holidays with family and for the most part we get a lot of fun activities in! There's only one downfall....Flu Season. I was excited to have the opportunity to review one of the lovely Candles from Jewelry Candles. Not only was I excited, I was was practically jumping up and down like a kid in a candy store, lol. My kids even looked at me funny as well. So, I got to choose a candle and I chose the Pink Love candle. Now before I go on about the candle, I want to let all of you know about the shipping. The shipping was excellent. The candle arrived extremely fast, I mean in like less than 2 days fast. And the best part was the packaging. When it came to the packaging, that candle was sealed and protected. I mean it was covered in so much bubble wrap, the candle could have made it though a battle, lol. It was great. That right there shows that Jewelry Candles takes care of there products and wants their customers to be completely satisfied.

Originally the label on the candle was covering the area where the jewelry "marker" is, but I moved it so you can get a visual of where to expect your jewelry when you get your candle. It doesn't always end up in the same place as mine happened to be. It could be a bit higher. 

The candle has to wicks so it gives you a nice even burn. No need to worry about the candles tunneling through one side leaving the other side waxy, lol. The smell of the candle when it is burning is so relaxing and calm. I love it and there is no harsh or pungent odor either when it is being burned.

As you can see in one part of the photo the foil is peaking through the wax. That is when you are ready to open your prize. I got this lovely heart shaped ring. It fits perfect with the candles. And I'm letting you know this ahead of time, the jewelry is top knotch. I have a scensitivity to jewelry causing me to break out, but with the ring that I got in my candle, I had no issues at all. I even wore the ring for three days straight to see if I would have a reaction and nothing. Rainy Crazy Day

Rain is not something we see regularly. If it does rain, its only for a few minutes and then were back to scorching heat with 100% humidity. We'd planned on going to a water park yesterday since it was the last day of the season. Weather report said it was supposed to rain all day, but its normally a lie. Well of all times to be correct, yesterday was not the day for it! Needless to say we went to the water park in pouring down rain, and it was awesome! Freezing cold, but awesome!  If you've never done it, you should! There were no lines, the ground wasn't burning our feet. We didn't need sunscreen which meant no one ended up sunburned. The list of awesomeness goes on!

Strawberry Cheesecake Bites

I'm not the biggest fan of cheesecake. I don't like that you get soo much cheese and not enough cake, if you catch my drift. I normally scrap bites off the bottom so i can get mostly graham cracker. Don't judge me!    These Strawberry Cheese bites are the perfect fix! They are also hand held and SUPER easy to make!!  

(sorry for the horrible photography!)

Heres the recipe: 

(1) lb strawberries

(1) 8oz package of cream cheese, softned

4 tbs powdered sugar

1 tbs vanilla extract

1/3 cup of graham cracker crumbs(if you dont have the crumbs, just put some graham crackers in a mini chopper and grind em up! mix in 1tbs melted butter after you've made crumbs)

Wash your strawberries(if you dont always wash your produce, you should. My hubby works in produce daily, Trust me, you should wash it first!)

With a paring knife, cut the top of the strawberry off and take out the middle.

I use the white circle in the middle as a guide on where to cut

Now time for the filling and topping. 

Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla in a bowl with a hand mixer. Make sure your cream cheese is softened(room temp), its much easier to mix this way. 

This is where you'll need to make your graham cracker crumbs if you didn't buy them pre-made. 

Put your cream cheese filling into a ziploc sandwich bag and cut off the corner so you can use it like a piping bag.

Fill em up!!

 Dip them in the graham cracker crumbs!

Enjoy!! Excuse my storage method, i didnt have anything else and my kids were starting to cry..i put them in the first thing i could find.

This past weekend..

You know those days when Murphey's Law "If it can happen, It will" seems to hit you hard? Well i do. We'll get to that.

On Friday's my son has swim lessons. I may be biased because he's my son but for 2 years old he swims like a champ! He's only been going to lessons for 3 weeks and they are already testing him to move up a level, which is mind blowing to me because he's already in the 3-4 year old level class. The kid loves the water, period.

Saturday, we went to the biggest water park in the country, Schlitterbahn. I won the tickets and its only an hour drive from our home. If you've never been, put it on your bucket list of things to do! I've been before, but never with two small kids. I knew my son would have a good time, but i was kind of worried about my 7 month old. Shes is always on the move, and having to be held or in the wagon/stroller all day i thought would be miserable for her, in turn making it miserable for me! I was wrong! They have so many family friendly  rides, having a baby never posed a problem! After 5 hours of water park bliss, we headed home!

Sunday was my nephews 10th birthday party. Boy, time flies doesn't it? When i was 16 years old he was 2, and i took him everywhere with me. He went with me and my friends, my boyfriend, no matter what i was doing he was going with! Now i have my own two year old! After the party, we were going to smaller water park which closed at 6.This is where Murphey's Law kicks in.  We left the party at 2:30 so we were kind of cutting it close, but the passes had to be used. Everyone was following us, so we went to my sister-in-law's house so she could follow too. Her truck was out of gas, so we went to the gas station to get her enough so that her truck could make it on its own. By now its already 3:20, and were all getting frustrated. We pull up next to the gas pump, and hear this loud 'POW"..my tire popped. I have never heard a tire actually pop until yesterday. The gas station is only a block or so away from my parents house, so we drive the car there before the tire goes completely flat. Now we have to switch cars, which means moving carseats(pain in the butt!!), putting all of our coolers and gear in the other car and loading everyone back up. We still never got the gas for my SIL's truck, so back to the gas station to get gas, take the gas to her, then BACK up to the gas station so she can fill her tank up. Irritated does not begin to describe everyone's mood right about now! Not only are we irritated, but the kids have been in the car for an hour now and we still have yet to really go anywhere so they're getting antsy too!

We FINALLY make it to the water park at 4:15(they close at 6 remember?), but we had a really good time! There were only a handful of people in the park so there were no lines. They kiddie park was a ghost town, which is always a good thing so you don't have to hover over your child. All in all, we had a wonderful time! It just seems like when we get our family together, its always a production to get anything done! I wouldn't change it though, because it just creates a good story that we can all laugh about later!  This was a good day compared to the recent family vacation we went on, but we wont go there!!

This weekend is JAM PACKED for my family! I recently won some tickets to our local water park, Schlitterbahn, and since its so close to the end of the season, they are closed during the week(which is my ideal time to go!). We took our son when he was 9 months old and he loved it, so now at almost 3 he should really be able to enjoy himself!

Tips to finding good deals.

At least a few times a week I'll have someone ask me "How do you find all these deals!?", so I'm going to share a few tips with you. 

• Get to know your store. Every store usually keeps clearance in the same spot. Target for instance keeps most clearance on the end caps on the backs of the isles(the part closest to the wall). Walgreen's is similar, but unlike Target who keeps clearanced items in the same general area as like items, Walgreen's puts all clearanced items together. 

• Pay close attention to clearance prices.  Just because its on clearance, DOES NOT mean its a good deal! Most clearance tags have the original price and the new clearance price. If a product is originally $4.99 and is marked down to $4.25, its not that great of a deal! If your patient, wait a few days and chances are it will be marked down more!

• If you don't NEED it, don't buy it!!  Just because that life size green polka dotted dancing teddy bear is marked down 90% off AND you have a coupon, doesn't mean you need to buy it!  Stick with things you'll use. Buying unnecessary things simply because it was a good deal ends up making it not a good deal because you spent money you didn't plan on spending on something that your not going to use anyway!
