Schlitterbahn Water Park Tips

Its the hottest coolest time in Texas, right? Schlitterbahn is America's favorite water park, so I'm going to share a few things that I've learned to help make your visit more enjoyable, especially if you have young children!

• Get there early and choose a shady spot to set up your "home base"(a place where everyone knows to meet). This is important if you have younger children. This spot will be familiar, so if anyone gets lost they will most likely return to this area.

• LOTS of Sunscreen. Most of the time you don't feel yourself burning until after its already too late. Apply Sunscreen while your still at the car, that way you can head straight to the water!

•  Bring a cooler. One of the best things about Schlitterbahn is that they allow you to bring in outside food & drinks(No Glass or Alcohol). Load the cooler up with waters so everyone can stay hydrated without breaking the bank!

•  Wear watershoes or flip flops. Schlitterbahn is big, so walking on the hot ground is inevitable. You'll want to wear something that is ok to get wet and dries pretty quickly. Also, choose something that you'll be ok with losing. Shoes can get lost fairly easily.

Nuby Sports Sippers Review

As you all know i am a Nuby Mommy Blogger. Well its time for another Nuby Review!!

My kids seem to always be thirsty so I've got lots of cups. My son has always used a Nuby Sportz Sipper and it is the only cup my children will drink from. When i found the Nuby Sports Sipper Wheelz and the Nuby Sports Sipper Princess cups, i knew i had to have them!

I love everything about the Nuby Sports Sippers, but i really love that fact that the Wheelz and Princess cups have a design on them. A design that has gone though my dishwasher dozens of times and still looks brand new! I also love that it has a small enough bottom that will fit into the cup holders on my kids car seats but it is still a 10oz cup, which for my thirsty babes works out perfect!

Nuby Tickle Toes Lion Review

Scarlets Naturals Review & Giveaway!!

I love all natural products. My kids have really sensitive skin so I'm always on the prowl for new all natural stuff for my babies. I heard that Scarlets Naturals was looking for some product testers, so i jumped on the chance! First, a little background about the company,

The day that i got my package in the mail i had just been told my daughter had RSV, which is a respiratory virus for those who don't know. She was really congested and just downright unhappy! I immediately applied the Cold and Chest Comfort balm, and about 20 minutes later she was already feeling better! I was amazed, but i thought it might of been the medicine i had just given her. Well after a second application (with no medicine beforehand!) and the same outcome, i was convinced! The Cold and Chest Comfort Balm works wonders!! I've used it so many times now, even on myself, that i don't know what i would do without it!

Next i tried out Scarlet's Lip Honey. My lips have taken a beating this winter, they look like railroad tracks even! I have every chapstick type product known to man, and they all work for the first 2 minutes and then i feel the need to apply it again. Scarlet's Lip Honey has proved me wrong. Not only does it have a wonderful smell, but it actually works. I even tested it by eating and drinking trying to see if it would wear off, but my lips were still soft! I even feel comfortable putting it on my kids, which says alot!

My daughter never really gets diaper rash, but we all know with sickness comes diaper rash. After she kicked the RSV, we had a round of Flu go through our family, so diaper rash was out of control at this point! We've been using the Hiney Honey Quick Stick for about a week straight now, and i am impressed. First off, i love that its in stick form, meaning i don't have to get get it all over my hands. Second, it goes on clear, so none of that white messy goop to get on everything within a 2 foot radius of the changing station. Third, its cloth diaper safe. I don't use cloth diapers, but i know that if i get it on her clothes(or mine) that it will wash off without leaving a stain!

I'm not a big lotion person, so i was kind of skeptical of using Scarlet's Honey Lotion. I don't like the greasy feeling that lotion leaves, and since my kids have sensitive skin, i don't normally use lotion on them. I'm happy to say that Scarlet's Honey Lotion does not leave a greasy feeling! Also, because everything at Scarlet's Naturals, is All Natural, i happily applied it on my kids! It made my skin really soft and it smells yummy too!

Have you heard of WRRY Free Skin Care? I never had, but i was provided with some products to review and i must say i am impressed. Here's an excerpt from the website,

I of course used it on my lips, but i also put on my knuckles. Since the weather is so cold and i wash my hands a gazillion times a day, my knuckles are so dry and cracked. The Climb On! Lip Lube worked wonders. Within a few days of applying it to my bleeding knuckles, they are nearly healed! 

Second product i tried was the Bast! Face Tonic and Spritz. The bottle suggests to use it after washing your face, which i did and it really gives you that clean feeling. It also suggests to use it as a sort of "pick-me-up" for your face thoughout the day, and let me tell you, it makes your face feel rejuvenated! It sort of tingles for a minute or so but after that, your face feels amazing!

Last was The Bug Drug. If you didn't know, i live in Austin, Texas. Ever heard the saying "Everything's bigger in Texas"? Well, that includes the bugs, mainly the mosquitoes. The mosquitoes are so big that sometimes i worry they might carry my kids away. We only got to use it a few times before it got cold, but i did notice a HUGE decrease in mosquitoes flying around and NO bites!! Here's the description from the website,

OK, i know you've seen it. That parent holding the hands of their baby while the baby is just learning to walk. I've been that parent. As exciting as it is to have your baby learning to walk, it gets tiring bending over constantly. Well Juppy is the solution!
