Schlitterbahn's Holiday Splash Review

Last weekend my family had the absolute pleasure of visiting Schlitterbahn Galveston's Holiday Splash and it exceeded our expectaions by far! As you know i have 2 toddlers and i was nervous to take them in the winter, even though i read that it was indoor.

Not only was it indoor, but while we were hanging in the wave pool we noticed that it was SNOWING!  My kids thought it was totally awesome to swim while it was snowing. My five year old was also brave enough to surf with Santa, and he was really happy he did. Santa surfed with him at first and the let him loose on his own!

What i have always loved about Schlitterbahn Waterparks is that they offer free parking and they allow you to bring your own cooler in(with the exception of glass & alcohol!), making for a very affordable day to spend with your family.

I would highly recommend checking out Schlitterbahn Galveston's Holiday Splash if your in the area, it was well worth it!!

Schwan's Home Service Review

I remember my parents ordering from Schwan's Home Service when i was a kid, it was always a highlight to the day. The delivery guy would walk up and down the block, making his delivery's from door to door while all the neighborhood kids would try to help.

Now as an adult ordering from Schwan's is just as exciting! My children were so excited to see the truck pull in the driveway and our delivery guy was nice enough to show my kids the inside of the freezer in the truck.

We ordered several items, but our favorite was the Mini Bomb Popsicles. We also really like the Pizza. I love that Schwan's uses all good ingredients and the food is all delicious!

Having Schwan's delivery service also works great for my family because it breaks up the monotony of the grocery store!

Mr Gatti's Review

Mr Gatti's has always been a favortie in my house. We recently had the opportunity to visit the local Mr Gatti's featuring a buffet and it was amazing! The food was great and always hot & fresh. The people were very polite and even accommodated our request for a pizza that was not being featured on the buffet line.

I would highly recommend  Mr Gatti's to anyone and everyone i know.

Schlitterbahn Waterpark Review

My family and I have been to Schlitterbahn many times and its always a good time. Our most recent visit was no exception. Besides the obvious reasons like free parking, free tubes & the fact that they allow you to bring a cooler in, i love Schlitterbahn because they have tons of shaded tables and it never seems overcrowded.

My kids are both under the age of 5 so we just hang out in the kiddie area all day, and i have never once worried that i would lose my kids. There is so many different options for the little ones, that one thing is never too crowded. Pirate's Dinner Adventure Review

I had the opportuntiy to take my family to the Pirate's Dinner Adventure in Buena Park, CA last night and boy was it fun!

Arriving an hour or so early we hung around in the dining area where servers handed out free appetizers. They also put on a preshow to get out attention before the show. Once it was time for the show to start the announced each color that was assigned to the groups and we were to follow our color pirate to our seats. Once seated the servers took our drink and dinner orders and the show began.

The show was plenty entertaining, enough to keep my 2 and 4 year old entertained. We cheered on our color pirate during the show, which the kids loved. There were funny parts that had then entire audience laughing!

The food was very good. We had our choice of soup or salad, chicken or beef and dessert. I chose beef and it didn't disappoint. The serving size was more then plenty for us!

Our overall experience was a good one and i highly recommend going if your in the area!!

Schlitterbahn Ice Chest Challenge

I have been to Schlitterbahn countless times in my life and its always a blast. My kids always have the time of their lives and never want to leave. My favorite part about Schlitterbahn is the fact that is very friendly on the pocket. They are the only amusement park that I've heard of that offers free parking and the let you bring in an ice chest. 

In honor of Schlitterbahn being so awesome and allowing us to bring in an ice chest, i'm going to share my favorite ice chest recipe. Ice Chest Chicken Salad.


Ingredients:
1 Pound of roasted chicken breast(i use rotisserie chicken from the grocery store!)
1/4 cup chopped dill pickles
1 TBSP chopped onions
1 TBSP Mayo
1 TBSP Mustard
Salt & Pepper to taste


Directions:
Chop chicken in a small electric chopper until it looks like crumbs
Mix chicken with pickles & onions until all combined
Mix in Mayo & Mustard
Top off with Salt & Pepper

I love to spread it on plain ol' white bread. Its so refreshing on a hot day and it really hits the spot for my family!

Boomers! Review

My family and I had the chance to visit Boomers! in Palm Springs and we had such a blast! There wasn't a crowd of people so we got to relax a bit and let our kids enjoy themselves. My kids are motorheads so of course they loved the Go Karts and the Bumper boats. I on the other hand always enjoy Ski-ball. We didn't have the chance to try out the rock climbing wall, but it looked like so much fun! They also have Miniature Golf, which was super fun too!

What i really appreciated about Boomers! Palm Springs was the staff. They were all so nice and helpful to my little ones, who couldn't quite get the hang of some of the games! Overall our experience was a great one and we will definitely be returning to Boomers! Palm Springs this summer!!

Monster Jam World Finals Review

My family and i were lucky enough to be able to attend the Monster Jam World Finals in Las Vegas, and let me tell you it was fantastic!! My kids are 4 & 2 so i was kind of skeptical about the noise level for them, but with noise cancelling headphones, we all enjoyed ourselves!

Monster Jam World Finals really kept us on our feet the whole time with suspense. There was so much action that it was hard to figure out which way too look! My son absolutely loved having a front row seat watching these gigantic Monster Trucks jumping huge ramps. There was even a time where the television announcer stood right in front of us to film!v x

If you ever get the chance to see a Monster Jam show, i highly suggest it. Our entire family had a blast!

Disney On Ice: Rocking Ever After Review

Last night my family and i had the chance to see the Disney On Ice: Rocking Ever After show, and let me be the first to tell you, it was SO much fun!!

My daughter turns two tomorrow, and us moms know how hard it is to keep a two year old entertained. Well Disney On Ice officially accomplished that. She was so mesmorized by all the action that she never had a chance get bored. She loved seeing her favorite Disney Princesses skate around the rink, doing tricks and singing the songs that she knows from the movies.

The best part of the show was the pyrotechnics. Disney On Ice incorporated some small pyrotechnics into the show, so right when you think your child will start to loose interest, POW! They shoot off some pyro and they are instantly brought back!

If you have the chance to take your kids to the Disney On Ice: Rocking Ever After show, i highly recommend it. Kids of all ages will enjoy it!
