Tips for saving at Schlitterbahn!
Its the hottest coolest time in Texas, right? Schlitterbahn is
America's favorite water park, so I'm going to share a few things that
I've learned to help make your visit more enjoyable, especially if you
have young children!
- Get there early and choose a shady spot to set up your "home base"(a place where everyone knows to meet). This is important if you have younger children. This spot will be familiar, so if anyone gets lost they will most likely return to this area.
- LOTS of Sunscreen. Most of the time you don't feel yourself burning until after its already too late. Apply Sunscreen while your still at the car, that way you can head straight to the water!
- Bring a cooler. One of the best things about Schlitterbahn is that they allow you to bring in outside food & drinks(No Glass or Alcohol). Load the cooler up with waters so everyone can stay hydrated without breaking the bank!
- Wear watershoes or flip flops. Schlitterbahn is big, so walking on the hot ground is inevitable. You'll want to wear something that is ok to get wet and dries pretty quickly. Also, choose something that you'll be ok with losing. Shoes can get lost fairly easily.
